You're right about men. Never one around when you need one.

Lorna sounds like she's had fun and games too. Mine's a saint but determined to stay here come hell or high water. I'm not so sure.

Renting's a pain in the arse. We rented for 18 months before we moved and I loathed it. Drank far too much.

Resumes are growing. Do you think they'll believe I'm an ex Para?

Get a covering letter  We rented in Nanaimo for about 5 mths.
Thanks now do you use a corkscrew for barrels  Sticking hose pip in, if i remember right you just suck the other end YEY!!!!

Grab your jug

North - small minded village but surrounding areas well publicised and lovely ..... in one hour I can get to ....

venice
verona
padova
lake garda
mountains
seaside

drawbacks ........... mountain - farmer - peasant small minded people with more time to gossip than make fresh pasta .... and a kind of slave mentality as in - "I pay your wage - do what i damn well tell you as you can be replaced a 100 times tomorrow" ....... that's why I now work for myself after 10 or so years as an employed. But if you can blinker all the little village crap out and still get on with them it's not so bad !
THE WINE IS VERY GOOD AND DIRT CHEAP !!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I know ........... hey - it's not being 40 ...... it's the idea that half of my life has been lived elsewhere - and happy as i have been with my choices so far it kind of brings Uk as home and getting older a little closer than it did when i was 25 and living the life of riley ............. but as my dad says ........

it's all just swings and roundabouts - swings and roundabouts !

When I'm 40 it'll all be very different.

But that involves 'clocking' and turning back my mileage by six years. One day I'll crack it though.
