We chose Kelowna. Had a midlife crisis when we hit 40 and got sick of the commute, rat race etc. It's a beautiful place with a fantastic climate. Lot going for it.

We're a few minutes from the dog beach, so we take our hound for a run and a swim. She loves it.

I hit 40 quite a while ago....not even visited Canada yet lol (will be visiting in May next year) but hoping to get there within next 3-4 years.

Niikki I've been trying to be creative with my method of getting to NS next May

Good idea to get ahead though. My OH did his financial services exams when he got his job. Would've been sensible to do it in advance like you though. Seem to be a reasonable number of jobs around in financial services in our area at the moment. Don't know if the problems in the banking sector will trickle down at some point.

House sale must be frustrating. We sold early on because we were worried about having to sell in a hurry. So we ended up renting and moving three times in 18 months. Difficult to know when to jump for the best.

this is the same thought we had, if by some miracle we sold straight away then we would just rent, but as its turning out we are needing all this time to try and get the thing sold, really fustrating but nothing you can do.

At least we are not up against time at the moment as we are going through PNP and we are waiting for NS approval before going through London, so we are looking at next summer hopefully:unsure:

BA have a fantastic seat sale on scheduled Heathrow to Boston on the day after schools break up in May less than £1167 for 4 of us.......train from Boston to Portland $72 for the 4 of us Ferry to Yarmouth a bit more expensive at $260 ...........should be an adventure if nothing else.............sounds good at the moment.........

...you watch it will be Gatwick - Halifax  trying to for 3 weeks until 13th June and have looked at Motorhome for a week whilst we are there (a big 36 footer !!)
