I also loved Roobarb and Custard, and Dangermouse!! But the ones I remember as a very little kid are Poogle's wood, Ivor the Engine and Noggin the Nog - so loved all of those.

I also looked up Basil Brush and didn't find it as funny as I remember. Nor was Captain Pugwash . Life will never be the same again

Danger Mouse was awesome as was the Raggy Dolls, Fun House, Art Attack (the show in which I discovered Zero 7 as they used their music for some of the big art attacks).

Captain Planet and TMNT a well!

I didn't grow up in UK but we had Danger Mouse in the US, I used to watch it after school.

I think it is Pogles wood Noggin the Nog was good, The Clangers- seemed good as a little kid, now just irritating- similar thoughts as you with Basil Brush and Captain Pugwash, maybe just because we are grownups now!

Saturday mornings were incomplete without a helping of Count Duckula, Garfield and Pee-wee's Playhouse

Forgot about those. Watched those too. And duck tales after school along with a couple other Disney cartoons.

Smurfs too.
