Just my opinion others may or may not agree.
I cannot see anything of a threat in that. Just a simple request to "keep it civil" followed by the observation that we "all know the rules by now". Actually I am sometimes amazed at Ian's restraint.

On it's own it looks innocuous but along with other posts in the same vein it has a deeper meaning.

Honestly the way you two go on is like a divorced couple that still secretly care enough about each other to argue just as a means of keeping in contact

I can't say I care for your analogy. It might surprise you, but I actually quite like Butch.
