LMAO,
Absoloutley hilarious read - but a good honest account for someone at the early stages of trying to get there !
I didn't realize how much i take food for granted ! (just hang on whilst i dip this piece of Warburtons bread in this delicious take out curry !)

Regards,
Diggler.

I'll leave as soon as someone comes along and
A/. buys the house for what we need to settle the mortgage but the chances of that are zero as we are also in a property price crash crisis
B/. buys our truck that is also in negative equity
C/. buys our flight tickets
I've been here 5 years....and just for the record, it was the death of a very close family member back home to make me change my mind about living here. Read any of my very early posts on BE and you'll realise I was extremely pro-Canada and anti-UK

I admit to being curious about what seemed your bitterness to all things Canadian in your recent posts and was tempted on occasion to ask the same question as Canzoet. I did look at some of your earlier threads/posts and realized that you've experienced some serious problems along the way and that was most unfortunate. But, why would the death of a loved one back home allow you to turn so vehemently against Canada. Your recent list of 12 dislike/hate items all existed when you arrived a few years ago.

I just wanna stick up for may mate for a second. Ruby Murray has tried damned hard to make it work here. There are days she loves Canada still but the pull of family is too strong for her and she needs to be back with her siblings and other family members. I have noticed that now she has made her mind up to go back and stuff the consquences, she is much happier and positive!
Good for you Rubes
Hmmm Your dog knackered my dog out yesterday - I hope Luna was fully excersised too.

Flashing your lights at another vehicle in Canada (at least in BC) means: 1) it's dark, turn on your headlights dummy or 2) there are pigs, a speedtrap, an accident and/or wildlife on the road up ahead of you or (if you're following someone) 3) move into the slow lane so I can pass you.

According to many posters here you will miss absolutely everything, so bring a Tesco/Sainsbury/Waitrose/Asda, M&S etc., with you. We also drive on the WRONG side of the road, have lousy television, clothing styles are years out-of-date, most things (including food) are more expensive, vacation time is ridiculously low, our hydro supply is the wrong voltage, it snows, it gets cold (very cold), our incomes are insubstantial and no doubt many more that don't spring to mind. Drag you back? If I were you I wouldn't come in the first place. When I read of all the things immigrants don't like about Canada I wonder if I should seek counselling because I quite like my life here. I guess I'm the one who's out-of-step.

It goes the other way too, I must be crazy for moving back to this hell hole of a country that's completely gone to the dogs
I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Your avatar indicates NI (back from Toronto). So which country has gone to the dogs, Canada or NI? If it's NI what does your 'it goes the other way too' mean?
