Can't remember his name off-hand but the guy who shot up Dawson College, there was a link to his blog on the Montréal Gazette site briefly and his blog was still up.

That is BS, he made it up, in fact 99.9% of the stuff on the internet he fabricated according to the press today but I knew that story about him knowing her must be BS.

He's just a sad loser who wants attention, well he's got it now.

I take on board the point about desensitization; but I also think that the opposite may partly be true.

I did see a beheading video a few years ago, and after seeing that I will make sure I avoid the video under discussion here. The reason I do not want to see anything like that again, is that I do not want to confront that level of empathy again. By not seeing it I can avoid that. There is a reason why we do not get to see real war footage on the news, and the dead bodies get brought home at midnight (in some places)
