This one made me smile. That thing is an exact replica of what I pulled out of my neighbour's wheel arch about five years ago.

She's currently asleep on the sofa and isn't black anymore.

One of the annual awareness raising/fundraising events here is a "Walk a mile in her shoes" and there's a letter in the paper today thanking those who took part, particularly in view of the rain on the day.

The paper gave it the headline "Real men might not like quiche, but they don't mind pumps."

Some awareness training for the headline writer perhaps?

Not so much local news - this story is all over the Canadian media today (not to mention all the US papers I've looked at).

Jean Beliveau.

It says something when an NHL team buys an entire amateur league to get access to one player!

Turning down the position of Canada's Governor General was pure class.

The Bell Centre will be a strange place tonight. The Habs are playing at home.

Note to Novo and dbd. It's about iced hockey but also about a man.

Those urinals have been around for years. First time I've heard of an 'exploding' one. Being bladder shy isn't the only reason to avoid them now.

Cool. I remember in the early days of the WWW (1998) there so many webcams everywhere. These days they seem few and far between. Ironic considering his much cheaper the hardware had become, and how much more bandwidth is available.
