I have no idea whether or not it will be good for Scotland, but I think the rest of the UK will benefit greatly from not having to liaten to the Scots moaning about the English ever again. With proper passport controls at Berwick, a requirement since Scotland will be forced to join Schengen assuming it gets back into the EU, Gordon Brown, Alex Salmond, Jon Reid, The Krankies etc can all be kept firmly north of the border.

Over 80% of the population lives in England. The union is obviously going to reflect that. I have also never referred to Scotland as a region or a state or a province. I merely drew parallels to representations of smaller populations within a larger political entity. After all, Scotland is a part of a larger political entity.. the UK. |
