Seconded. I remember the days before the Maple Leaf existed, we had the same arguments then; hence the Maple Leaf

or i am thinking, just start a thread called what a load of bollox, then everyone can post their rubbish on it and have a jolly good time. bazz can come on, play both sides and be flippant. novo can come and just be miserable. iain will pop on, say something positive and everyone will thank him. dbd will post 1 time with something quite surreal but meaningful, probably including a farm animal. and the r i c hs will appear and have a good mank too. everyone is happy. its a winner i think. thoughts?

Not sure if I want to play the Novo part, Morrissey miserable, or use my own persona....well meaning bollox. I'll ponder. Sure I can stir things up a bit given a chance.
Not fair if girlies can't play too....

Ooh, an 8 foot trench? See, you boys have all the fun. With a bit of PMT and a fair wind, I'm sure us Expats ladies would relish the chance for that sort of meaningless violence...you should put out a call.....

I was 6years old when Mulroney came to power.. So all my life I have seen governments who cared more about maintaining power than actually governing. When the present conservatives brought down the Liberal gov for being corrupt surely I was not the only one that had thoughts of black pots and kettles. Unfortunately the Canada is secretly a 2 party country, and both can teach the mafia a thing or 2 about accounting.
My actual reaction to seeing Harper's gov involved in a this was glee. I hate him, I hate what the party stands for. So happy happy joy joy!

I thought all governments were like that, except Thatcher's of course

Can't see what this has to do with Hobnobs though

Might I direct all of you biscuit-fanciers to the most-excellent web-site of The Biscuit Appreciation Society.

This site contains everything the modern biscuit-muncher ought to know, from proper dunking techniques to the tricks of obtaining free samples. But more pertinently, given the apparent antipathy to this biscuit thread from ahem… certain quarters, here is what The Biscuit Appreciation Society has to say about Geordie Biscuits...

How do I bake a "Geordie Biscuit"?

"Whilst you may have heard that a Geordie Biscuit is a particularly sweet and tasteful delicacy, it is in fact Cockney Rhyming Slang for "If you don't watch out I'll nut you so hard that you'll have a lump the size of Jimmy Hill's chin on your head. On the other hand I have been known to look at men in an admiring way before, especially ones with girly looking hair, but if you tell anyone I'll staple your b*****ks to a lamp post and use my dumper truck to drop you and the lamp post into a swimming pool filled with double-edged razor blades""

I take that back, the mafia does get caught as much as politicians do.
