nope just particularly obnoxious for no apparent reason. this part of the forum for off topic chat seems to escape some, but they still take time to pass comment.

Grumpy, me? Obnoxious? Well, I try. And nothing agrees with me very much.

To be honest, while I like this forum and many of the posters on here, I think I have detected a severe downturn in recent times. rae, off-topic means not directly related to immigration or living in Canada etc. Certainly meaningless drivel is not forbidden (thank dog) but it is increasingly tedious these days.

Not forbidden no, but there has been some light hearted threads started in recent times that have had caustic, sometimes even brutal replies. Sometimes people just take themselves too seriously.

Which ones? I probably missed them if they started out like this did. I'm the last one to take myself seriously but I seriously am disappointed by the lowering level of discourse on here. Not directed at you at all dear edna.

See? We need more of that.

I'm sure somebody is interested in chocolate biscuit threads, indeed in chocolate biscuits per se. I'm just not one of them. Or aware of hobnobs of either variety.

Novo, what would you like to talk about instead? I've probably started some of the lightweight threads, and certainly participated in them, but always open to more interesting/intellectual pursuits. Name your subject. I'm your woman.

Sorry I have let this thread spin in the wind for a whole hour, but the dog needed a walk. (and so did I).

Name my subject and you're my woman? I'll not go there....

Oh, let me think.

Is anyone interested and/or disturbed by the news that the Conservative Party of Canada is under investigation for election financing fraud?

No, didn't think so,

A political party in Canada involved in something dishonest! Next you will tell me that what goes up will certainly come down!
