The Grand Tour

Re: The Grand Tour
Some genuine laugh-out loud moments but agreed that it felt overly long. The same scripted jokes were stretched a bit too thin again. Lovely Tuscan countryside went a long way to making up for that though!

Re: The Grand Tour
I watched it all waiting for a funny bit- he just seems very bitter with a nasty edge or is that his style?
Humour is very subjective- Frankie Boyle, another comic I can't stand. Though I'm sure there are many who hate those that I find funny.

Re: The Grand Tour
It's actually not the bitterness, it's the structural irony. Have a go at this one, which is off topic, but also very funny (IMO):

At least he didnt didn't wish someone dead in this one..you haven't convinced me, I won't be looking online for tickets for his tour (if I don't get him, I'm not so sure that he would go down well over here (understatement of the century )

Re: The Grand Tour
I just watched 44 minutes of driving in the desert and was very surprised to find there's another episode of more driving in the desert. Oh dear, oh dear, 44 minutes of driving in the snow to fetch a curry was more exciting.

After watching the first half of the Namibian sand buggy special...perhaps they could lose the tent actually? Excellent film stuff.

The launch mode segment last night was probably the funniest thing I have seen for a long time :@)
