Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?
BCS was just around an hour I would say without the commercials.
If season 5 is the last, hopefully they add a few more episodes up from the 10 they typically do.
The ending was pretty great, likely see more Saul in S5 and less Jimmy at this point I would imagine.
Lodge 49 I like, well written interesting characters. Kind of surprised it was renewed, the ratings for Lodge 49 really drop off vs BCS an hour before, but still not the worst show on AMC ratings wise, maybe it it did well on other formats, who knows.

I am really enjoying Designated Survivor on Netflix. Very good - not too unthinkable as a possibility - I'm only on Episode 3 but is certainly shows promise.
I have just finished watching 13 Reasons Why. Not my sort of thing really, but as the mother of a 17 year old, I sort of thought I ought to watch it. I'm glad I did. A bit violent for me in parts, but I think teenagers lives are, often, a lot more gratuitously violent than possibly I remember. It makes High School seem like a gladiatorial trial, but I can believe it's not all fun.

You liked Norsemen didn't you. I only remember half a dozen but it looks like there's a second series. Dunno if on Netflix, but it made me wonder...did you ever watch Lilyhammer? A Norsemen actress was in that too.
You might like it. Should be on Netflix.
Just checked. S2 of Norsemen is on Netflix and all three seasons of Lilyhammer.

Almost at the end of season 2 of Ozark. They've really taken a leaf out of the makers of Breaking Bad book regarding the use of music together with the occasional same technique of leaving you mystified at the beginning of an episode, only to reveal the context later.
I reckon that any "Top Ten Villain" list would include two from this show. The nasty, seedy, FBI man is downright nasty but Janet McTeer's Helen is simply magnificent. She should team up with Villanelle.

Started and finished The Bodyguard this week. It was pretty good, not quite Line of Duty standard.
I've never seen GOT but it's really hard to imagine this actor with the photo of what he looks like in GOT. And having just seen a clip of the actor on a chat show, I can't see his Bodyguard character either.
He must be half decent at acting then.

Just started watching La trêve on Netflix. Belgian cop investigating death of a footballer who had been playing for the local team.
I've seen the plot of this previously and I mistakenly thought I'd seen it before. Even the title rang a bell.
So can anyone name the movie or TV series I was mistakenly thinking of? PD is my best bet.
Possibly Northern France, there was some racism in the crowd - that's what makes me think an African player was involved. Player killed in the showers? Accusations of the goalkeeper throwing the match. Policeman returns to his town and investigates...possible daughter involved and a strained relationship.
I remember a scene in the bar at the stadium...guy who knew the dead player getting a bit morose and then either tried to commit suicide or succeeded.

Does https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welcome_to_the_Sticks ring a bell? This movie is one both of my kids watched in high school french class (in french) and they loved it. It seems to be a lot like Seduding Dr Lewis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seducing_Doctor_Lewis which is cute and filmed in Harrington Harbour, QC. The anglo canadian version https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grand_Seduction featuring Gorden Pinsent and set in Newfloundland was nowhere near as good.
I have watched some good french crime dramas on Netflix lately.
