On ITV Player Series 3 of Unforgotten is, I think, very good and the best so far, although the first two were also good. The first two series are available on UK NETFLIX and BritBox. On BBC iPlayer watched first two Eps of Bodyguard, it’s a good one. Can’t wait for tomorrow night’s episode.

S1 was good. I didn't expect S2 so soon.

Unforgotten, first two were excellent. I have S3 on a stick waiting for me.

Another thumbs up for Deadwind on Netflix.

If you liked The Bridge, you'll like this too.

I finally ditched the Chromecast we used to 'cast' Netflix to the TV and got a Roku Ultra box which is working really well. One of the 'free' channels is MyTuner radio app

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MyTuner_Radio

which apparently is on Chromecast but I don't recall it.

Great radio service so I can listen live to Radio 1 (er, no), the other BBC national and some regional feeds, TalkSport, and all of the insufferable Magic, Heart etc best of the 70's,80's and today music wallpaper. Also some specialist radio stations and my go to while in the USA, NPR Radio.

And no, I'm not on the Roku payroll.

Acorn is another app but a paid one for british shows.

Anyone else watching "Jack Ryan" on Amazon Prime? I'm halfway through the series & must say I'm quite impressed. Bit generic spy/terrorist drama but well done and with a good cast. Worth a watch.

I finished watching Aquarius on netflix on Thursday, 26 episodes, took me about 2,5 days...... It was on a US network for 2 seasons and then cancelled, so the show ends on a cliffhanger since there was no season 3 and the writers and creators had planned the show to take place over 6 seasons. It takes place in the 60's in Los Angeles, a fictional crime show with both real life people from the 60's as well as fictional placed in, uses real life to create fiction, not a bad show, I thought it was decent.

Watching an Australian show now on netflix called Wanted, only 6 episodes per season (does Australia do short seasons for their TV?) but the first 2 seasons are available, not a bad show, I have to use subtitles sometimes as the accents can be hard to understand with some of the characters, but I like it, not your typical crime/cop drama.

https://www.netflix.com/ca/title/80195522

Only a couple more weeks until regular TV starts back up, cannot wait........I do enjoy a handful of shows on normal TV still.

Great example of why I don't go for US network shows anymore. Why invest my time only to see it pulled? Chances are, if it's something I like, enough normal people won't like it and it'll be pulled. If it does survive and it's worth it, I can catch up.

Whereas US network stuff does tend to be your typical formulaic crime/cop drama.

Until 6 or 7 years ago, I'd have agreed but not anymore. Alternatives to "typical crime/cop drama" are so easy to come buy and so much more my cup of tea, that US Network stuff doesn't get a look-in with me anymore.

Many UK shows are in the 6-12 episode per season range while US shows tend to go on 20+ episode season and multiple seasons which in many ways are just flogging a dead horse as it all driven by advertising.

Current US Network shows I like would be Fargo, Better Call Saul and um, hmm, that is about it. Those are on FX and AMC so just cable networks.

Started watching The (Le) Chalet on Netflix which is quite good...set in France (hmm, what gave it away) and in french with subtitles.

We're also watching Jack Taylor on Netflix. Set in Ireland with 90 + minute episodes. Generally quite good but some of the acting isn't the greatest and the love scenes don't move the plot along.

Whenever that subject comes up in the Guardian, people seem to think the more episodes allows for character and plot development. I can't really see that though because most of the 20 in a season shows are not really episodes in the 'serial' sense, they're just 20 single stories. Things like Breaking Bad are an exception.
I'm quite surprised at Hinterland. They seem to fit as much in 90 minutes as Shetland does in multiple parts.

I tend to think of the US Networks as NBC, CBC and ABC. Their output is just too 'safe' for want of a better word.
We're also watching Jack Taylor on Netflix.
Yes, I enjoyed those. I'm surprised Strike hasn't made it to Netflix yet, but perhaps too recently left iPlayer?

I still watch a handful of shows on US networks that have been around for a while, Law and Order SVU, NCIS, Bull, Modern Family, Jane the Virgin, Superstore.

That pretty much all I watch on the big 3 networks.

On the smaller networks I watch:

Suits, Better Call Saul and a new show called Lodge 49.

Suits and Better Call Saul are on netflix, but takes so long for new season to appear, I find watching them on TV easier.

Most of the major network shows are not available on netflix though, so TV is the best/easiest option to find them,

Queen of the South is a pretty good show as well, airs on TV (not sure where in Canada, USA in the US) but is on Netflix, current season just ended, so that season wont drop until next summer on Netflix apparently, but there are a couple of seasons available though.

Russian cop show The Method on Netflix.

Unorthodox detective, new police graduate wants to work with him.

Best bit was the two villains who couldn't wait to go and visit the Cathedral in the wonderful town of Salisbury. Oh...wait...that was something else.

Sons of Anarchy spin off 'Mayans' has, at last, started, looks good in a SoA way, plenty of blood and gore, some of the same characters as were in SoA.

Have been watched BODYGUARD on BBC. Ep5 is on tonight. It’s very good, gritty and suspenseful.

No. Nothing.

Every time I see the question that forms the title of this thread, my internal reply is as above.

Just sayin'
