I'll pick up the cudgel. I grew up surrounded by Jews who had differing levels of observance. If having a flexible attitude to one's faith is duplicity then I've seen it, Souvy's right. Your suggestion that his observation is based on bigotry is unfounded.

AFAIK it's complicated being gay, but as to why well that's just the way they are there is no why to it. It ain't a choice.

Its more to do with female anti bodies, when a women has a male child, the female body fights the male babies natural growth progression, then when the mother has a second son, he is about 3% chance of being gay and so on, as the mothers blood cells begin to win their battle.
