It's all relative Montreal Mike.....you said this "i see the point but it is their hotel after all isn't it?". Am guessing you have kids, brothers and sisters? If what you are saying is, and am assuming here? That in this day and age bigotry has a place? What would you do if you son/daughter/brother/sister starts dating or marries someone that looks different? I am merely being the devil's advocate and am simply asking myself why the rights and wishes and beliefs of the owners of the hotel are of no consequence whereas the rights of the homosexual couple are paramount? After all, the homosexuals are free go elsewhere It boils down to the state intervening and deciding which rights shall prevail: Individual Rights or Collective Rights That is the only point I am raising. PS. some landlords will refuse rentals to pet owners and smokers. Is this discrimination? I think not. If I am not wanted I can go find a landlord who will accept pets and smokers |

Homosexuals are fine. They have been around for thousands of years and are part of the human condition. So it is not a matter of being anti-homosexual.

Smoking is now illegal in most indoors places in Ontario...emphasis on most here! It could be everywhere...but I'll leave it open To the stuff in BOLD: That is because what the hotel owners are doing is called discrimination. The town/city can easily pull their operating licence to shut them down if they aren't going to cater to everyone am sure |

On the surface it is indeed discrimination but isn't the equation a bit lopsided? |

Re: gays not welcomed
Playing devil's advocate a little here, but how can we have women only gyms? How is that not (legally speaking) discriminating towards men?
