The unthinking masses seem good enough apparently..until of course it starts to have an impact on the way they live their life which is the inevitable conclusion.

This implies that I want everyone locked up, sort of.

Shall we have sweep stake on the next Islamic terror attack in Europe. How many days? I say......3 days. Monday. Pretty sick eh? I suspect you couldn't get a bookie to take the bet.

They are.

The problem (imo) is that there is no hierachy in Islam to say "this is wrong, you're a heretic, you're going to hell, goodbye". So it really doesn't matter if most muslims think what happened in Paris was wrong, none of them have the power to declare fundies non-muslims and heretical.

Why can't the imans at the mosques tell them it's not very sporting to shoot people?

Exactly like the one the cartoonists had... You've managed to find the point (inadvertently) that Yorkiechef missed yesterday.

Just like you wouldn't be able to get a bookie to take a bet on whether a non terrorist murder will take place in Europe in the next 3 days.

Yes, in fact the opposite is true: when the mods call the fundies out, they point to the book and call the mods infidels and threaten them. Because the Koran is the actual word of god, there is no "interpretation" authority, and the fundies can claim the higher moral ground.
