Coronavirus

Re: Coronavirus
It doesn't matter if your annual income is $20 or $20,000 or $20,000,000 - if your expenditure exceeds your income there will be a point of reckoning, and this year COVID has probably caused a lot of people to face financial problems that would otherwise have been kicked down the road for another day. I'm sure those people would be very grateful for any help the province provides, after all they've paid their taxes have they not?

Re: Coronavirus
Something to think about if you have a history of allergic reactions to foods or medications. The advisory is out of the UK.
"The MHRA issued new advice to health care professionals stating that any person with a significant allergic reaction to a vaccine, medicine or food -- such as previous history of anaphylactoid reaction, or those who have been advised to carry an adrenaline autoinjector -- should not receive the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine."

Looks like the same thing could happen again, thankfully it's not an anaphylaxis reaction. That would be bad.

Re: Coronavirus
Some BC relevant vaccine news.
400,000 expected by March.
Just shy of 4,000 set to arrive soon in BC, 4 trays of 975 doses, 2 will go to Fraser Health and 2 to Vancouver Coastal Health.
The first doses to arrive will be given to healthcare workers who can travel to the vaccination sites.
nine sites across the province to receive the Pfizer vaccine with hopes to increase to 30.
Sounds like they plan to do central vaccination points for Pfizer vaccine.
By March they are hoping for 400,000 to have been vaccinated.
Looks like Priority will be
1st- LTC staff, residents and healthcare workers.
2nd- seniors over 80, people with underlying health conditions, people who are underhoused, and people living in remote and isolated Indigenous communities.
3rd- (they hope by April) front-line workers including teachers, grocery store workers, firefighters, and people working in food processing plants will be prioritized.
4th- moving down the population age range in increments.

They say be patient eventually you will get one, but at least we have an idea how they plan to do it.
