Re: Coronavirus
BC has sent rapid response paramedics to Ft. St James to back up local paramedics due to surging demand.
Looks like their primary job will be to transport COVID patients out of town (they only have one small medical facility) and back up local paramedics who are facing burn out.
Population of the town is 1,500 with at least 60 cases.

Something to think about if you have a history of allergic reactions to foods or medications. The advisory is out of the UK.
"The MHRA issued new advice to health care professionals stating that any person with a significant allergic reaction to a vaccine, medicine or food -- such as previous history of anaphylactoid reaction, or those who have been advised to carry an adrenaline autoinjector -- should not receive the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine."

There were two reactions among the volunteers for the vaccine. Both were allergic subjects and carried epipens.

Update on the BC woman who had an emergency C-section while suffering complications from COVID, is still in the ICU and unconscious, a little over a month now.
Baby is doing well at home, gained a pound since leaving the hospital last month.

I don't need to be lectured over an article I didn't write.
My stepdaughter has two days of pain in her arm every flu shot. One could easily describe that as a significant reaction and be put off. I mean, it's significant to her but it's not at the extreme level of those carrying epipens.
The two days of pain - to the point there's little she can do - doesn't put her off the flu shot and it won't put her off this one. But there's no doubt it's a significant reaction. bats just gave it some proper context.

I don't know what is going on in the interior but it's a little concerning and bulk of the cases this week appear to be mostly around Kelowna.
"Interior Health's numbers continue a trend over the last four weeks, where the rate of infection in the smaller health region is outpacing Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health."

Re: Coronavirus
Went to Wal-Mart this morning, they updated the sign on the door, their capacity is now 1,200 people, and they have put up little fences to separate the entrance and exit. No line this morning to get in though, wasn't busy. Previously the capacity sign said 2,400.
