It was the kind of school to which Etonians slunk in disgrace once they'd been expelled. I was only there thanks to an Army Brat bursary and an academic scholarship; Mak was at the associated "international study centre" because they took in foreign students with shedloads of money and too much of a security headache to go to a London school.
