Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
Time for a reset.
Here are the rules Pick 5 people that you think will croak over the next year to 11.59pm on December 31st 2014. Select one of these to be your Joker. A valid celebrity croaker must have their death reported on the BBC's website to earn points. Earn points for the joker's age at death less than 100. For example, Justin Bieber is currently 19. if you picked him and he dies before his birthday in 2014 you would earn 81 points. If your joker passes away in 2014, you earn double the points for each year that the croaker missed his 100th birthday. To streamline the process this year, I've created this handy google drive doc, where you can add your BE name and your picks. Please give me a shout if you have any problems accessing it or putting your picks in. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...2c&usp=sharing Let the discussions and deaths commence! |
Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
Done.
Something missing from the rules is that you're stuck with the list until one of them dies and with the joker until the joker dies (or the end of the year in both cases). |

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
And don't worry if you have issues or challenges - you can either PM me or reply on this thread. I'll be cleaning up as I go, but a shared doc helps me with the admin. I'll be refining the sheet as we go...

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
I entered a line of 5, but I fear I may have accidentally ended up typing into someone else's entry too....I don't know how or why this happened! I have PM'd Pretty Flowers and asked her to check it, but if your entry has changed, my apologies if it was me that caused it! :o

Yorkiechef's entry has similar issues while Souvy is just being greedy. |

Your joker doesn't show up slanty because you have her as Cyrus in column L but Citrus in column F. I expect there's a slanty citrus joke there somewhere but I can't do it.

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
I've checked the spreadsheet and all seems to be in order, apart from Souvy's double entry and Yorkiechef's Gadaffi son who needs a first name. I'll wait for you both to alter these before I pm you with a spanking...

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
I've finally got my act in gear for this year. A bit of goal-hanging with Sharon, in whose favour I've dropped Tony Bennett so he's bound to croak. Nicholas Parsons, last year's joker, is showing alarming signs of continuing robust good health into his 90s, so I've switched my joker to Hamid Karzai in expectation of some shenanigans in the last months of his administration... Phil the Greek and Jean Chretien make up my five.

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
RIP Simon Hoggart, aged 67

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
Saif please, he has two sons with that name, one is already dead. Thanks

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2014
Some points coming...........
Novo and Yorkie should jump into an early lead, having given Sharon as their joker. OV and I will have to be satisfied with normal points. dbd has, of course, completely cocked up in giving him a repreive (thus condemning him to death). |
