agree with peas.

I don't know anyone who wanted to go DT last night, me included. Most people I know were holed up at home.

I'm saying that people can get caught up in 'the madness of crowds' and do things that they otherwise wouldn't do.

Oh i know what you're saying but those involved (physically, not passively) whether they instigate or go along with it for the fun, mob induced or not, are not decent people in my view.

The person who tried to stop some of the damage taking place and calm people down before having his head kicked in for his efforts was a decent person for his actions. A bit of a wally but decent nonetheless.

Most decent people, if not trying to help or become part of the audience, would walk away.

I'm trying to put myself in their shoes; being is a frenzied crowd, under the influence of alcohol, knowing that an event like this occurred before and knowing people are likely anticipating a repeat of it, seeing others flip a cop car, being young and wild/stupid, living in a city where the cops have a bad reputation due to previous events... If I was 20 years younger and there, I would have probably been right in on some of it... no matter the outcome of the game.

Yeah, it's senseless and stupid... but it was probably a hell of a lot of fun and a great release for most of them involved. Obviously, not for the people injured, the property and businesses and the horsies but I suspect the majority of "the idiots" are probably otherwise decent people.

Select brain to neutral and say (bleet) Baaaaaaaaah.

We have an age group in their early 20's that have been brainwashed into believing that to have a good time you need to over indulge on alcohol. They are the people that will get caught on survelance camera's.
How embarassing for their parents.

Well obviously. Who, in their right mind, would actually do that with hundreds of witnesses watching?

But worse, I suspect he's likely violating some anti-smoking by-law.
