Back protector for sure. Gives more confidence to chuck yourself down the mountain.
Takes me ages to get ready though, and it's exhausting. Knee supports, wrist supports, back protector, helmet, cod liver oil tablet, and i tend to take a pain killer just before the first run.

Hubby broke collarbone last season! So I have a barely used pair or Black Burtons uk size 10. For sale- pm me if intersted! Teen boy had inherited the park board!
I ski - I tried boarding but found the falls too painful and couldn't do black runs!

Been out in Vancouver the past couple of days visiting Simon Fraser and mightily impressed with how little time it took me to drive from W 8th Ave to Burnaby. Christ, you can be on the slopes in no time! I'm coming again in Jan and bringing my boots (I ski; boarding = all gear, no idea ...)!
