Since the stroke - a poached egg or a boiled egg (no salt for either), 1 slice wholegrain toast cut in halves (no grease - garlic puree as a replacement) 1/2 of the toast with 1/2 teaspoon of sodium free peanut butter and the other half either with the egg or with about 1/2 teaspoon of pressed cottage cheese (low sodium version) - large glass of water, small decaf coffee.
Oh for the days of a full English then toast and marmalade or else bagels, cream cheese and smoked salmon, sigh.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a poached or boiled egg, but it's poo that you can't have whatever you feel like. I hope you're doing ok Siouxie x

Can't eat feta cheese (sodium is too high) nor olives (same reason) as they push my blood pressure through the roof - and no red meat allowed at all - so nope, that's out for me... let alone butter, lol.
Eggs Benedict was a favourite of mine pre-stroke (Ham, Bacon or Smoked Salmon if I was splashing the cash), or if I was making breakfast at home then a full English - with a few slices of good bacon maybe an English breakfast sausage or 2, mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs - and a fried slice of course, perhaps a few beans or a potato rosti - oh and toast on the side.. (with butter and marmalade ready) - but it'll be a fair while before I can have that again!

If your ever in Vancouver and want french toast be sure to go to yolks. Hands down best french toast I have ever had.

The increasingly popular battered sausage. Because I didn't mix the whole package of meat I did not include an egg, so it was lean ground beef, some chopped green onion, Montreal steak spice, touch of sea salt, breadcrumb, and this time I added a little squirt of HP sauce. It only takes a little beer to make enough batter for this but due to drinking the rest while cooking it becomes a 2 beer breakfast in total.

There large glasses of water. Apparently (according to my girlfriend) water is the new bacon.

Is she aware that over hydration is as dangerous as dehydration?

I was told to drink around 2 to 2.5 litres a day, total fluid intake.. not just water

Note to self:
Do not come in here around breakfast time.
Wanders off to raid the fridge of tasty eats.
.
I really have to try to make a battered sausage or twenty. MrBEVS will love me for it and so would my taste buds & stomach.

I was thinking about kippers, but opted for bacon and eggs instead. By sheer willpower I kept from having a beer with this, though the sea salt on the chips was just right - not too much... maybe I earned one...

This time I had kippers (with chips and toast), and although I didn't have a beer with yesterday's breakfast, today I did.

There was a partial can of flat beer left from last night, and I have bags of cheese cubes left over from Christmas in the freezing compartment, so the decision was made to have rarebit. Cheese melted in half-and-half and the beer, a half tsp of Dijon, grated pepper and milk and flour to thicken, served on toasted pumpernickel. I made enough rarebit for 2 so now I have to think of what to do with a cup of cheese sauce.
