Splitting hairs, innit? One's a western democracy with a benefits system that mainly helps people in need but which is sometimes abused and so's the other.

And I think that is becuase the maintenance payer in so many cases all of a sudden stops paying because they think their ex's should be on the breadline with no hope of ever dragging themselves up and making a better life for themselves? Just a thought

There are places full of these people but there are plenty of areas of the UK with very few/none.There are many areas of the UK which are great-all countries have their good and bad parts.

She has 3 kids two to my mate and one to another guy.

20 hours per week teaching assistant Job £770 per month
Maintainance from my friend £385 per month
Other Childs Dad £250 per month
WORKING TAX CREDIT £250 A WEEK £1083 A MONTH
And another £150 or so child benefit.

Danny
Actually, these figures you quote are WRONG.Maximum WORKING TAX CREDIT would be £4139 including £1701 for a second adult and £706 for the 30 hour element plus £6090 for the 3 children. She is single and works less than 30 hours per week so the total is:
£4139 plus £6090 = £10229
minus £1701
Minus £706
making a total of £7822 per year.
This equals around £651 per month/£150 per week.Still a lot but less than the £1083 quoted.

Something is wrong, but I got the figures from her bank statements not from her award letter.

There is certainly something wrong when the content of a person's bank statements are posted to the internet without that person's consent.

Not to mention the other comments and judgements on her character. It's one thing standing by a friend, but I know for sure that you cant comment on what goes on behind closed doors in a marriage, and you cant rely on one persons account.

Oh, I don't have a problem with attacking people's character, saying someone is greedy or ugly or a crook or even "a liar and totally reprehensible" or "a dangerous pinko" is, I think, free speech.

Disclosure is a bit more problematic, it's not far-fetched to think someone here could know Danny and so the person in question. I personally wouldn't much mind having the threatening letters from my bank published but many people are sensitive about such things. There's a breach of trust issue with the financial data that there isn't in just slagging someone.

I think theres a breach of trust too in commenting on a persons character if they are a client of yours.

We kinda decided it was a conflict of interest (due to friendship with her with her ex) for our company to handle the case, but I only ever refer to people as a clients that way names never become involved although I see where you are coming from.

Since she is no longer a client can I say what I like about her?
