Yep, it's an old Irish religion book, but it was gone before I was in primary school (70's)

Know the feeling. When I lived in Glasgow we were only a couple of houses away from a Church. I worked shifts, and lot of them were nights....Usually got to bed around 7.30. am.....bells (a tape I think) around 9am if I remember correctly. Sundays I was fit to kill...bloody bells! Even spoke to the Minister and asked him to turn the volume down. He was not amused. Said the sound of the bells should be 'uplifting' for me.

Only thing I felt like uplifting at 9am on a Sunday morning after a Night shift was his Scrawny neck. We moved house a few months later....other than the above it was a good place to live. Would never buy a house within 'bells' distance of a church again! Noisy bar stewards.

Blessed are the silent....and those wanting a decent sleep.....
