I see that you can also pay IMU via the credit on your 730 tax declaration, providing you have any.

see points 5 - 6 - 7 here:

This morning I saw on my comune website that they have opened up a couple of "sportello" dedicated solely to IMU.

I rang them up to ask if I have to take any papers with me when I go.
Answer is, if nothing has changed in the last 12 months then no I don't. They use the same data that they once used to calculate the old ICI.

The nice lady did add "I suggest you leave it until the end of next week before you come to us though as it's a gran casino here at the moment, è davvero un macello!"

Why am I not surprised

I found a good site where you can get your visura catastale easily and free online

http://www.agenziaterritorio.it/?id=1267

you'll need your cod fiscale and the deatils of the location of the house, then Bob's yer uncle, you get your valore catastale, from which you can then caculate your IMU.

Hope someone is in the same boat as me.

Our local Comune are unable to tell residents how much the new tax will be, instead they say we must go to a comercialista. I have used the online calculation tools here, thanks for the links, and it says nil payment.

I really object to going to a comercialista and having to pay them to say I don't need to pay! Has anyone else with a nil payment done anything, is there any need to fill in any forms, or can I just sail along oblivious? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Our comune aren't doing it either. We have to go to the CAAF. Our's is done, but I haven't bothered to pick it up yet. No free ride for us. If I've got time, I'll get it Monday and then see if it tallies with the on-line.

Unlike ICI. No lumpimg the payments together. Each owner has to have their own F24.

Please bear with me - I have a few questions about the F24. I'm the sole owner of the house and would like to pay in 2 instalments. I've already calculated the IMU.

For Ravv. & Immob. variati - do we put the X here only if there have been some changes to the house since purchase?

If one would like to pay in 2 instalments do you put the full amount at importo a debito versati and then the amount you will pay in importo a credito compensati?

In the line for detrazione, this is where we put the 200,00 for prima casa?

Thanks in advance!

It's sad i know but in the end i got a patronato to do mine .. together with the 730..
I was afraid to get it wrong this year so then Monti and his men might come and throw me in prison or something ..

Mind you, Maroni wanted to throw us (EU citizens) out of the country at one point if we did anything wrong ...

For Ravv. % Immob. viariati, I don't know because we haven't made any changes. We are paying in 2 instalments too. The importo a debito versato; No, they Caaf have put the amount that we will actually be paying top and at TOTALE G. The detrazione line is for the prima casa. €50 because it half with OH and then we are paying in 2 instalments so the detrazione is in instalments too. Am I clear?

We did too. Just wasn't worth the risk of another run in with Equitalia for the sake of €80.

Right even though a few years back a CAAF did make a mistake and I had to pay a fine...but they of course didn't take any responsibility.

I think we paid €70 this time, plus € 7 for every IMU instalment

Just bought the house 18 months ago so never tackled this tax. For clarification:

You haven't made any changes and so those boxes are blank - correct?

For the debito versati/credito compensati - that means nothing is filled in for credito compensati (either in the first or last line) and therefore nothing for SALDO?

Thanks for that tip for the detrazione - so for one owner with 2 instalments, that should be 100€?

I have the IMU calculated 1000 times, even on the CAF website & the website of the Agenzia Entrate - so I know what I have to pay and I have all the other codes etc. I just need to know how to fill this form then I will head off to the bank.

Last question regarding that scary comment on Equitalia - presumably for the second payment, they will send us the bolletino postale with the remaining sum due right? If for some reason all these calculations which say the same thing are wrong they will add it to the second instalment right? Or is this just wishful thinking?

Looking for the nearest CAF office, just in case.

Thanks for letting me know. I've checked with a couple of sites an it says nil payment (it is only a very small house). As there is nothing to pay and no F24 I hope that's it no other forms to complete, I'll keep trying to find out and post in case anyone else is in the same position.
