You may have had confirmation of State Sponsorship but it then takes a while for that confirmation to get through to DIAC! I got confirmation of mine in October 2008 but when I rang them earlier this week they informed me that the confirmation has still not yet been sent through to DIAC. Once this goes through (hopefully it should have been processed today so DIAC should get it next week) THEN it takes around 10 days but you have to wait for DIAC to actually have proof of your state sponsorship before they can process it.

Hope that makes sense.

My state sponsoeship form 1100 has been received by the DIAC on the 18th February,2009. but till date no CO has been allocated to me. do you think whether i should clarify the same with the DIAC or should i wait patiently. Pls advise.

I am a 176 state sponsored , Application lodged on 26/04/2008.

Glen: I have same situation as yours. DIAC confirmed they have received the nomination form in February, nearly 4 weeks ago. But I still don't have any CO yet. I suspect there are too many applicant with SS, that's why they delay the processing.

it does say on the update email that after 10 days you can communicate with them to ask what is happenig, there is a method of communicating with them on the acess page.

Do you know if I can contact them direct if I am using an agent? My application is a paper one, so I don't have online tracking.

i think if using a agent then communication is through them however there is a form you can fill in ithink to get communication through you, have u tried contacting your agent?

I have had an email from my agent this morning, he has been great through it all, I just like to be doing something
It is early days yet as the visa was only acknowledged on the 2nd March, but I wanted to be prepared for the future.
Not that i'm a control freak or anything

Does it help to lodge an enquiry with DIAC when a Case Officer is not assigned to you?

I am seeing deadline (10days) for the assignment of Case Officer for our fellow state sponsored applicants overdued for a very long time.

Of course, notwithstanding the fact that e sponsoring state had sent the Form 1100 to DIAC and the Case officer has no reason to make contact- so you won't even know one was assigned and looking into your case.

From my timeline, my case officer is not assigned (i paper lodged- no online status- no one from DIAC contacted me); my Police clearance and med are not done.... still waiting.... is agonizing

co in feb medicals finalized on 3rd march
VISA GRANTED 18TH MARCH
im very happy as you ca imagine , sponsored by WA
