I think this is where the delay is occurring - DIAC are not processing the 1100's when they come in and therefore the 10 day allocation time is not really accurate.

Could someone please tell me how I get confirmation that form 1100 has been sent through to DIAC? I know that I have been offered a sponsored place but I need to find out now if DIAC have actually received this confirmation as I can't work out otherwise why our allocation of a CO is being held up.

Hiya

We emailed Immigration SA to advise them that we had completed our application, and gave them our TRN number. About a week later they sent us an email to say that they had emailed DIAC confirmation of our sponsorship.

Maybe you need to go back to immigration SA to find out if they have sent it.

Thanks Stiletta - fingers crossed now as the flights are booked for 2nd June so i'm praying it comes in before then (we have got tourist visas just in case though and will just take a trip to New Zealand if it gets granted whilst we're in Oz as have to be off shore).

How's things progressing for you?

so, you are in Australia now. I've heard that DIAC processes those who are in Australia faster than others. hope, it will work for you.

we were assigned to a case officer on 03 March 09. We were asked several additional documents. we sent them in a few days. now waiting for a reply from the case officer.

Finally i got my visa grant yesterday. State sponsored 176 IT professional lodged on october 2008 .case officer : 02 feb 2009: medicals sent on 5th match 2009 finalised on 11th march 2009" Granted on 18th march 2009. Thanks . Good luck to all

Can anyone tell me realistically how long we will have to wait to get a CO, I am not being impatient as I have prepared myself for a long wait, we are not CSL or MODL, but have WA sponsorship.
It just seems that a lot of people are expecting things to happen quickly, is there something I am missing? Please don't think I am having a go at anyone, but I feel that I am not as informed as others.
I appreciate this is a bit of a 'how long is a bit of string' question, but I would value your opinions, especially any agents out there
