Cse officers are assigned to handle different cases based on countries, though some cases go to different regions (especially the ones from UK). So it's assigned per region. Within teh region there are several case officers

Ah yes the elusive case officer.
Only three left in the world you know.
Someone needs to start a campaign to save these magnificent creatures from extinction

Spoke to agent yesterday and it seems that the other 5 paper applicants that were 29th Oct have been requested for meds so hoping that we may have a case officer now but may not know it as we have frontloaded everything so here's hoping for August for all as they are obviously getting a pace on

would it be ok to email IMMI what the status is? like email my CO? or would this be asking too much? since paper based cant be traced unlike online that has a tracking number.

Do you have an agent?
If so then they will only communicate through them.
If not, then when you send your e-mail it must include your reference details in the subject line or they probably wont bother replying or just send back a standard reply to send processing information enquiry.
Worth a try though, but do remember that they don't like being hassled too much.

If everything's frontloaded they probably won't ever hear from a CO - it'll go straight to grant. As Pollyanna said the other day, we mustn't get fixated on CO allocation
