Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
Hi guys
I've been reading through with some confusion! I applied for a 175 (not state sponsored, just a straight 175) back in May 09 and have literally had no news. No case officer, no requests for information....nothing. And my migration agent is now saying that unless I attach a state to my application then I should look at other avenues.
Has anyone in my position got any further than me?!
Yours worried and confused

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
one more thing i want to add u that it means they might give priority to the cases of 2009 than 2010.I mean to say that they might finalize the 2009 cases first than 2010 beacause they should consider the old cases first and u know that May 2009 cases are the oldest one so i believe they will be on high priority if they want to finalize those applications who applied before July 2010.

Getting closer then! Getting a CO would be a big morale booster, although it doesn't necessarily mean too much!
How do you know they're up to Aug 2008? Is there somewhere you can check or is that just from being on this forum and other people's update posts?
Cheers

As per the priority processing announced COs are being allocated to applicants of Oct 2008 and whose occupation is on SOL 3.
If your occupation is on SOL 3 you should join the following thread: http://www.*************/forum/migrat...u-now-162.html

I applied under Marketing Specialist which is on SOL Schedule 1. It doesn't look as though I am any kind of priority from any angle whatsoever! Am I in for a long, long wait?!

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
Those applicants whose occupations are not on SOL 3 and does not have state sponsorship are currently fall in cat 4. Cat 4 applicants shall be assigned with CO once the cat 1, 2 and 3 are allocated COs.
Hence I can not say when those applicants shall be allocated COs but I am sure it will not be assigned within couple of years, unless the applicants apply for state sponsorship and the occupation should be on SMP list, which is now due to announced by all states shortly.
Further we never know what further changes shall be announced by DIAC during this period which makes the situation more unpredictable.
All the best
