Hi guys. I've been a long time viewer of this thread and I decided to register just now. I am also a January 2009 applicant. I am from a HR country. VE 175 Accountant MODL CSL. Application Lodge Date and DIAC receipt: January 27, 2009.

Of all the sites I've visited, this site proved to be the most updated and informative.

And again the waiting is just so long...

Hey All,
I got a mail from my CO today requesting for further documents.
I am in a kind of confusing situation . I had applied for Police clearance certificate and as a reason my passport is lying with the passport officials. My wife could not come along for the Police clearance so she still has her passport . Now for the medical checkup , I cannot go because medical check up needs original passport . So, I advised my wife to go ahead with medical and I plan to do it once I get my passport with Police clearance.

- Would there be a problem if my & my wife's medical check up report are not sent together ?
- I have 28 days to send the documents and I plan to send all the documents as and when they are ready to be given. Any problem in that ..

Can someone please guide me ?

Hey robin,

i dont see a problem in sending the medicals seperately. as long as you stick to the 28 days time period it should be fine for DIAC. but make sure to respond to them properly, if were unable to send your medicals within the 28 days stipulated period, then ask for extension and they will happily allow you to do so. i did the same for my hubby too.

Congrats on getting a C/O Robin! I agree with miss_india about sending in your medicals seperately. It shouldn't be an issue as long as they receive both within the given timeframe. About your second question, that is what we are going, i.e. sending in doc's as we receive them. We were just asked for Form80's and Police Clearance Certs. I've just sent those. We were also asked for Character Stat Dec's but can't get a slot with the Australian Embassy to witness them until next week so will send them in then. Similarly we can't get medical appointments until the week after next so they will go in then. I figure as long as we meet the 70 days we were given to submit them, we should be fine.
