Congrats all who got CO !
Anyone in Feb09 thread who isn't state-sponsored get CO? Or even get his/her status changed from "Application being processed further"?
Thanks !

Re: Feb 2009 Applications
Hi there everyone, just having a quiet moment at work so thought I would join the Feb 2009 bus and find out how everyone was getting on.
For the record I'm an IT network designer and applied under a standard 175 visa...timeline as follows:
Visa - 175
Skills assessment (ACS) sent:01/10/2008 received:12/02/2009
IETLS taken 17/01/2009
Application online Sent: 20/02/2009
Documents all uploaded.
The only thing I haven't done is get medicals and police reports. As I read you should wait for this to be requested by your CO.
Can someone else on a basic 175 visa just confirm this is the case for my sanity? On the automated response you receive it says upload documents immediately!
Thanks
Stewart

Yup we just wait for CO to ask for them, so if like me ur on neither the csl or modl, sit tight and enjoy the ride as we've a long wait ahead I'd say

Cheers Jen, one less thing to worry about!
Like you say going to be a fair amount of thumb twiddling from now on....6 months+ I read somewhere else, just for a CO to be assigned.....another British winter to get through!!

2 years! blimey!!! Is that for the whole application to be processed?
I'm not on CSL or the MODL...my particular area of geek profession is apparently well stocked, even though there seems to be hundreds of jobs going!

Well that's what I've been told, and there's no shortage of Primary School Teachers either!!! Who knows, I know we certainly wont hear this side of the end of this migration year (ending in June), don't even know if we'll be looked at next migration year?! Did you employ an agent, they might be able to advise better, but as far as I'm aware, unless your state sponsored or on the CSL your application has pretty much been frozen!!!

I know the CSL and MODL have been moved to a new processing centre, I kind of figured that this was done to speed up their process, while ours chugged along at the original pace. If they have frozen 175 visa processing though till CSL and MODL applications are all processed, well that will never happen, as people will always apply under those subclasses...itwill become harder than Canada to get a visa!
