same here, I tried to send my CO an e-mail and he hasn't replied yet. I hope he could just send a simple acknowledgement letter sometime next week, or better, a grant letter

Yeah quite right, Adrian got his visa after more than 6 months... So DIAC finished in their service level.
We now just estimate our timeframe 6 months as well... By doing that, I think we will be more relax...

If you have done a good job with your file and prepared everything precisely as needed ( i did everything right apart from the medical) then you have nothing to worry about.

I have learnt that immi put flags on files as it moves along from one desk to another which are mainly security, fraud, etc. If these one of these puts a flag on your file for further checks then you can expect delays but otherwise for ENS so far its the best and easiest way.

also for those who have lawyers its will be good for the lawyers to do their jobs and approach immi depts with diplomacy and requests, lawyers are not just file filing agents, they have to do more. with my case my lawyer approached Canberra HQ and requested my file to be pushed ahead and decided because Australia has a sever shortage of qualified priests in the catholic church and vocations to the priesthood are the lowest in history due to childabuse scandals that has crippled the church. My file was pushed by my lawyer's (who is also a priest b.t.w) diplomacy and tact and his rerlationships and good will with DIAC.

6/7/8 months is the max you can expect for your ENS visa. I was done is 6 months and 2 days and apart from the wait DIAC never gave me grief in anyway. Its the best immigration department in the world and very thorough. , though they succumb to laws and rules that the minister keeps changing but the depratment itself is very efficient except for a few slip ups that happen like in Karen's (krazzy Kazza) case. Relax people and i am sure you time will come. easier said than done i was a miserable wretch a few weeks ago but at the end of it all i realised, apart from the pain of waiting....DIAC treated me VERY fairly.

all the best everyone, its 1201 am here in cold sydney, sleep well.

Hey mate

I'm in the same boat, in the 12th week and nothing, not even nomination approval. All my MA does is to tell me to wait and that processing times are 5-7 months.
I'm hoping to have everything approved by end of July but who knows..

If You lodged both of your occupations 2gether the yes 7 months from then but if u lodged seprately then it starts after you lodge your pr 856 application .
