When I called them two week back, I got standard response that it may take 5-7 months and also told me no CO is assigned. I just got approval notification. They have never sent any other notification apart from approval which I got it today.

Hi everyone
I've been monitoring this thread for about 7 months, but until now, hadn't joined. The stories varied from giving me hope to severe depression. However, I have fantastic news. I submitted my 856 application (self-completed - no expensive agent fees) on 5th Jan 2010 and it was finally granted this morning.
No amount of calling and talking to immigration seems to make any difference. You just have to sit and wait it out. Good luck to all of you!

i got my nomination approval letter on 12th may.

Yes it seems they need additional documents and somehow other attachment did not reach you. Call DIAC. It seems strange that they have sent you nomination approval letter whereas it suppose to be send to Employer
