Regarding your another question , Are you working on 457 with one employer and your 457 is still valid? Right? Also, you have applied for 856 with another employer different to 457 employer right?

Hi Guys,
I have been watching this thread since january.Thanks everyone for their contribution first of all.
Here is my timelines,
12.10.09 ENS Nomination Approved.
28.10.09 Application Lodged.
03.11.09 Credit card charged.
26.02.10 CO Assigned.
I have a quick question .Does anyone have an idea , how long does the "internal checks" take ? I have been told that my application is with an external agency for security checks since January.Still no news.
Thanks

[QUOTE=Kitechick UK;8572269]Hi everyone
I've been monitoring this thread for about 7 months, but until now, hadn't joined. The stories varied from giving me hope to severe depression. However, I have fantastic news. I submitted my 856 application (self-completed - no expensive agent fees) on 5th Jan 2010 and it was finally granted this morning.
No amount of calling and talking to immigration seems to make any difference. You just have to sit and wait it out. Good luck to all of you!

Congrats!

Have you submitted PCC and Medical? Give them a ring as they normally update all information on their system. They will be able to tell you.

I think you need to speak with DIAC and see if you can work with the employer who has nominated your 856. I don't think so you can work with the new employer until 856 is approved. Bridge visa is given to you so you can stay lawfully until decision is made to your application. If you have lodged 856 with your employer who has sponsored you for 457 then it would be a different story and you can work. As said, please check with DIAC

Thanks Kazza and vv_rgr_vv
vv_rgr_vv , all the best to you and everyone who are still waiting. It looks to me visa are getting approved for most of them at Parramatta within 4-5 months. If you are lucking you will get approval in 2-3 months. Of course medical professions are very quick to get the approval.
Andrian is very quite since last 2-3 weeks. All the very best to you and JR Smith
