This is what I heared but I never had any issues with the pwd. Might worth a shot

Cheers
That worked! Thanks a million for that, I had no idea that would happen.

We're on the roll too! Finally got to submit e-visa on 24/8 after getting my IELTS results. I guess we have to just wait for a CO now?

Hello Everyone

I applied today (25/8/2008) for visa class 475, I am going to Tasmania.

I am just wondering, how long does it take, on average, to get a case officer?

Also, I can't check the status of my application, I get a message saying that the information I am providing does not match my TRN. I am positive that my info is correct because I printed my application, could this be a system problem? However, I can attach document using the password of my saved ' draft application' and not the one they asked me to enter

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

Looking at other posts....I would say it depends. But on avarage, it loooks to me that you have to wait about 5-7 months until you get a CO.

Best thing to do is once you have uploaded all the supporting documents, just forget it and live your life....

Just a general question to anyone willing to answer.... is anyone going to have medicals and xrays before being asked to do so?

I know that it takes ages for a CO to be assigned, would it be worthwhile going for medicals in say 4-5 months time to pre-load them? Does anyone have any idea if this actually speeds things up at all once a CO has been assigned?

Hi,

Think it is worth a go - we applied in February and front loaded everything.

Still no CO yet but hopefully when application is picked up it will make everything a bit quicker.

For me, I would stick to the rules. I won't do the med's untill I am asked to.

I am a good boy :P

But seriously, I am buying myself sometime, I still have some unfinished business here.

Good luck

I have done both of mine for certain reasons.
My visa is 47SV close ties/resident return.
Police certificates - my OH was naughty when younger and needed to explain
Medicals - My application says to send with application.
I sent my application last week and waiting for aknowledgement then match up with the meds.

TBH, I would completely research your visa on here to get a timeframe of roughly when they are being asked for and then decide if you want to frontload or not. There are positive and negative to doing this:
1). The CO has everything and it would seem to speed things up
2). You have lesser time to validate as both have to be valid to do this.
It depends on your circumstances - house to sell etc.
Good luck whatever you decide.

I've booked my meds for 11th Sept - havent even lodged yet but I am hopeful I'm going to be an Augustee - will have to get a welly on though! If not I will be an early September, already have my PCC's and luckily my visa type takes between 2 and 4 months to process so I should be okay time wise.

Lisa and I have our skilled 175 visa flying its way to Adelaide at the moment.

It should actually be there by now so just time for the waiting game now

Excitment every day knowing its another day closer till our dream move to Queensland.

Best of luck to everyone who is waiting and everyone who has been accepted and waiting for flights.

Thanks for your opinions.. We are going to wait until October and then go for the medicals... Luckily we have no house etc to sell, but we hope to be in Sydney for Aug/Sept next year so that we dont have to get children settled into a new year for only a couple of months.... providing the visa is approved of course

I have no idea where we are going to in Sydney. I have only spent a little over a week there in 1998 and my hubbie has never been. Going to do a drive around when we get there. Have you been before and do you know where you are going to live? Would be nice to keep in touch cos we wont know anyone when we get out there. We are in Swindon at the moment so its going to be a HUGE change...
