Talking Re: August 2008 Applications

hi all August submitters,

I submitted my application category 175 on 8/16/2008. Good luck to us all.

anyone can help point out how I can proceed with and submit health examination results for me and my spouse to fulfill health requirements?

Or should I wait until the CO provide details about which physician I will need to visit and when?

Thanks a lot !!! Cheers

Hi,

It's up to you I think. You can front-load the meds and PCC or wait until requested by a CO. I applied on 10th and still uploading the other docs.
Didn't even think about meds so far. Your call!

Cheers.

Hi,
Your agent would advise you of completing the visa forms, then medicals.
Our medicals have been received in Sydney this morning. So waiting for a POSITIVE RESPONSE now.... We managed to persuade my 2 teenagers to do the medicals by coming to a compromise. Managed to squeeze the xrays, medicals and a house veiwing all in a day last Friday!! Then sent all the papaerwork by courier. We discussed that they can come there for a holiday once the visas come through. They can come with us when we go (that is if their unniversities have not started yet) OR come during their holidays and stay there if they like it OR come back (hopefully not) if they still don't like Aussie. We know we will lose money, but at least we know we tried and also it leaves it open ended for their future......

We did not know if we should apply for 175 or 176 as we were waiting for paperwork for both but now the man from Qld has said yes first and the 176 is in.The other nice dilemma, oh has been offered a job out of the blue and they will sponsor him on 457.Now he is beside himself and they want him to go by end of november, if he can.I will wait for the pr as we have kids in the middle of exams.Has anyonelse done this or are we making life difficult.

hi SilverH

Did you sort your problem out because we are having the same problem we submitted our online application on monday the 18th aug we went to upload our documents and it said unavailable it gave us a TRN number but no password so we can't find a way of getting back in to upload the documents just wondered if you had managed to sort it

Hi Sue and Pete...

Unfortunately not resolved. I received an auto generated email from the immigration dept a couple of days after we submitted online which said you can also email the docs to them. It tells you what files to send and is generally quite good.

In the meantime I have also contacted them using the post-lodgement contact form to request a new password. The website address is: http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/forms/gsm/post.htm

I will let you know if I get any luck, but in the interest of getting our docs to them, I have today emailed my scanned docs to them.

Hi again Sue... It is quite worrying as there is a lot to get organised with the application and the longer time goes on, the less time there is to upload the docs. I hope it is sorted out soon. Have you applied for a 175 as well?

hi
yes we have applied for a 175 and now really wishing we had used an agent pete is pretty good with computers and even he is finding this one hard work i suppose because its probably the most important application form we fill in i was just hoping that uploading documents was going to be the easy bit

To anyone having problems with a password when submitting your online application, I have received the following email in response:

Thank you for your e-mail in relation to your visa application under Australia's General Skilled Migration program.

Due to system limitations it is not possible to reset or allocate passwords. To attach documents to your application please scan and email
to the following address: [email protected]

Please put your name and TRN in the subject line of the email.

I have noted the problem you have had on your file for the attention of your case officer. When your file is allocated to a case officer they will contact you if further information is required from you.

For any further enquiries about the application you have lodged please refer to our website using the following link http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm

No one knows we are going in our family. We have applied before and due to family pressures and various other things withdrew our application. I know its harsh but its best (for us) that way. We have kind of mentioned it to the children but they will just be happy living near the beach so dont care too what happens.

Hi,

Did you try the password you used when you were saving the online application? Some of my friends had the same problem. When you save the online application, you are prompted to enter a password. Here's the funny thing. You can give for example 10 or 12 characters for the pwd but the system only recognize first 8 characters. Input validation is not so good I guess.

This is what I heared but I never had any issues with the pwd. Might worth a shot

Cheers
