There is a link (somewhere on this site) that shows you the progress of everyone who applied in August 2007 i.e. date applied, MODL, country/region, date of case officer, medical, visa grant, etc.

I'm sure someone will send you the link shortly.
Best of luck

Everyone who applied in August 2007 had a paper application. The new rules and online option started on Sept 1st - which is why there was a huge influx of applications in August

Hope you have got through all the unpacking!!!!
We are in the process of moving into our own home after 7 months in an awful mouldy rental, so I am looking at boxes and wondering why all the stuff we brought over is taking me so long to put back in the boxes, and why it no longer seems to fit!!!

Congratulations! That's great news for you too. Yes, we are coming across boxes we haven't opened since we left Ireland.... Have 3 more boxes to unpack but almost there. Glad we brought so much stuff over actually, have saved a fortune by shipping it. I'd hate to have to start from scratch again. How have your boys settled in? Are they school age?

Yes, she had to go back into year 7 which she had finished in the UK, and she is still doing work she did there in year 7 over here!!! In fact her latin was year 9 standard, and I could have put her in y8 comfortably, but I wanted her to have the social side that she missed in the UK, and thought that if she had it easy to begin with it would be less difficult to adjust the the Aussie way of doing things. As we are not intending to return it doesn't matter if she is "behind" academically compared to her peers at grammar school: they catch up in the end.
Anyway, she loves it here- came out of school on the first day with a huge grin on her face, and has made some good friends.

Hey there- think positive....prices are dropping in some places out here too, so you may still get what you want. We've been here 8months now and are about to move out of our shitty rental into a place of our own. It is in reasonable condition apart from the bathroom, so with a bit of work it'll be good. I am looking forward to hanging pictures on the walls and having our own colour scheme which doesn't include mould!!!
