Just to let everybody know , another August 2007 visa granted today!!!
Finally after starting the process in 2004 we have a visa, don't panic it doesn't normally take this long but we had two failed attempts due to changes made to the point system!!Two adults and three children heading to Brisbane area as soon as house sells, it's on the market and we have a viewing today.
138 visa : submitted 19.08.07, pre-acknowledgement 28.11.07, file ref19.02.08, case officer 02.05.08 ,visa granted 23.05.08.
Good luck to all those still waiting!

We are off hoepfully at the begining of September (pending the house sale) to NSW. Don't think that there are many from us Augustees going our way though
..... never mind an excuse for a day out or a meet up me thinks
fingers crossed for all who are waiting for news for this week, jsut think, they don't get the bank holiday like we do, such a shame but it leaves more time for grants

Hi Dinnerdash,
When we had meds in Feb, OH had blood in urine, panel dr sent is off for testing £45.00 (also cardiology specialist), anyway had another test done at gp same day that was fine. OH's came back with 3 different things showing, but because it took a few weeks to sort out cardiology problem he had more time so had to be retested by panel doc in April, anyway the moral of this story is drink loads of water to flush your system and you will be fine. if you have no other symptoms at all you know the uusualchange in peeing, pain or any other you may just have an underlying infection not necessarily related to that part of your anatomy. (OH had a sinus infectionat the time)

Know EXACTLY how you feel Mary - I have only told a very few friends and feel like such a fraud at this stage when I join in on plans for the future !!!
Mini - my OH's family are in TOTAL denial and don't EVER mention it - don't know which is worse really - but like you they are of the opinion that I am taking him away from them (if they only knew that the whole thing was his idea !!).

I don't think any one of us will have it easy when it comes to telling the family.My family were ok about it I suppose. But now we finally have our visa its getting harder. I feel the sooner we go the better. Positive note, even though my father hasn't really spoke to me at all since i told him. He has just bought his first computer with web cam.

- so suit yourself then! but she seems to have planned lots of visits already Well, as I posted in immense frsutration earlier this week.....nothing is happening our side.
But, I have managed to action part of our medicals - as you may be aware, we have been given permission to have themedicals done on the island through the local hospital. We had the bloods taken on Tuesday, we had the X-rays done on Monday, and I have booked the medicals for Tuesday 3rd June.
Our Pcc's from Aruba are ready. I was told yesterday that our PCC's from South Africa were delivered yesterday (took 11 weeks!).
So, the pieces of the puzzle are slowly coming together this side.....I just need for the rest of it to all fall into place !
