Well i've not been on for a few days as i don't want to moan when there are people behind me. Loads of congratulations to anyone that has had good news. I wish you all the luck with the next part and the wait. I'm still trying to stay positive but it is getting harder and harder and now i'm coming up with all sorts of reasoning why we haven't heard anything, it just seems too wierd that we haven't heard anything since we got a CO on 21st Jan and there has been nothing since, even our agent is emailing on a weekly basis and not hearing anything back at all

Hi, sorry to be a pain but could somebody explain what pre & full ack mean and how do u know you've got them. I applied 27 August 07 through an agent (skilled 136 ) and the only contact we have had is that they received a general email in December saying that they had received our application and our money was taken.

Hi

The pre-acknowledgement is just confirmation that your paperwork has arrived and when they also take payment.

Full-acknowledgement is when they have checked all your paperwork and everything is in order and a file reference no. is allocated - the file then goes into another pile waiting for a Case Officer.

The Case Officer will request medicals and pccs if they have not already been front loaded. The Case Officer will make the decision about granting visa.

Some people have front loaded medicals and pccs and have gone straight to visa without a Case Officer

If it is any consolation we too lodged on 27th August had our pre-ack 30th November and are still waiting for a full-ack.

Okay - now besides knowing that I'm a ding bat - it's going to become obvious that I'm technically illiterate - can somebody please add me to the waiting for the co since full ack. on 24.01 list and also onto the I'm heading to ... Melbourne list ??
