i called DIAC and the recorded info says it's now taking around 12 weeks to process applications from lodgment to decision.

Hope they contact me soon. Been 7 weeks without contact

I'm the same applied last week may and heard nothing mine was a postal application. What number did you call as no number listed for Brisbane.

DIAC ran me up today and asked me to mail them the 1195 form that I tried uploading, to their Cairns office. Said once they received the document, they'd contact me again for the interview within a few weeks. Woohoo.

I rang the 131 880 number.

I need to know that while filling the online forms from link "Complete character assessment particulars for this applicant", on the tracking system the section that asks for previous passports details, the option to enter the passport expiry date is only upto 2012 but my previous passport expiry date in of 2013. I got my new passport in April this year to avoid changing the passport details during the visa process. Can anyone advise what should I write in previous passport expiry date

if online form cannot accomodate your exact details i suggest you use paper application form. it could make your application faster conpared to an online application with erroneous detials.

Hey congrats man! Did they tell you when your ceremony is or do you have to contact the council or does the council contact you?

I've sent the documents to the Cairns office. No word yet from those guys. MY status on the web still says 21/5, application under review

Can you only view the application status online if you applied online.

Have to wait for approval letter which will hopefully be soon.

The Council will be passed your details by DIAC and they will contact you.
