Hi all ! Got our visas on Saturday ! Very happy bunny ! Nearly gave the postman a hug)) it took just over 4 weeks (amazingly). I don't know, but maybe the fact that my hubby had landed in Toronto a week before helped to speed the process up. Off we go in 3 weeks !!!

hi folks.

it's been a few weeks since anyone has posted on this thread. has anyone received their work permits in that time? how long was it from the submission of the application to receiving a reply?

it's just over 4 weeks since my application went in, so i guess i still have a long wait.

Applied in person on the 4th of May, visas arrived on the 5th of June. However, I think it had something to do with my husband flying over to Canada to start his job on the 1st of June. He got his work permit at the P.O.E. therefore there is a possibility that it sped up the process for me and our son. But it is only a guess, we'll never know for sure. But it took only 4 weeks and we are in Edmonton now living the dream

Well done dunniflat!!! We will be starting the WP in the near future we hope. So ten weeks would suit us at the minute or sooner depends on our house sale.

hopefully it will be the work permits come through already. the application arrived at CHC on 4th June, so it's only 4 and a half weeks!

i'll update later once the envelope has been opened.

No accommodation sorted out yet, but I am trying to buy a condo in Saskatoon at the moment. Hopefully 5 weeks should be long enough to get it sorted. If not we might have to make use of a few offers of hospitality that we have received from some contacts in Saskatoon!
