re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

2) They cannot work unless:
a) They are sponsored as an 'Inland' family class (spouse) applicant (which takes 6 months before sponsorship approval and a work permit is given) 'Outland is the recommended route'
orb) They obtain a temporary work permit either via the IEC working holiday visa (if under 31) or else from an employer obtaining an LMO
I would suggest you start with the wiki: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Quick_...an_Immigration

Quick question after "decision made" do you get a passport request (uk passport) or corp through the post ? We are already living in Canada.

If you're already in Canada you will very likely just get COPR in the post. PPR seems to be only for people living outside of Canada (we had PPR and are living in the UK).

Mys sons application only got responded to yesterday-- in London since Sept 2012 stage one compled as in sponser in place in Canada his common law partner. They have requested Rmpc POLICE Certificate-( they did not mention fingerprints) for Canada where he is now and also for his home country. Can he do this electronically as I understand it is quicker as he has a 60 day window to submit requested documents,He has already got his home country Police Certificate which did not require fingerprinting.Any helpful tips from all experts on this forum much appreciated to process this asap.Sorry in advance if I posted in wrong place.Thank you

Passport Request, though because my husband is a Brit, they just asked for a photocopy of every page of his passport. If you're not living in Canada they'll ask for that before they issue COPR.
