Via email but don't have the email as it was in junk folder and got deleted, so we had to ring CIC in Canada to find out and they were able to give me my case number.

And I had another reply from London CIC asking about another enquiry and they gave me a file number too.

Did you receive your COPR online or in the post...what came first?
in process on ecas, then CORP (it was issued on same day it went in process) last friday in the post. It took a while to get to Vancouver.

Something went wrong though and I need a new one, my Ecas still says in process and never went to decision made !

Don't bother checking every day. CIC only updates the portal once a week anyway (some people have said Tuesdays in the past)... and in a lot of cases it isn't even updated. And once it is updated it doesn't give you any information other than "A decision has been made. Someone will be in touch." In my case, We had sponsor approval emailed to us a full day before ECAS changed, and in the case of "A decision has been made", it updated on ECAS three days AFTER my husband had received his PPR by email!

Ecas has changed for me and is now showing "Your current home address" as well as "Your current mailing address" (previously it was just "Your current mailing address"). Does this mean what I think it means? Is this what everybody is referring to when they speak of the sponsor's address appearing in Ecas soon before the COPR is issued?

Strangely the "home address" is just showing "Montreal, Quebec, Canada", which obviously isn't really an address and also isn't the exact spot we live (we're a little bit outside Montreal). Should I be concerned or does this seem normal? The "mailing address" is correct.

This just means someone is doing something on your file and prepping for, if, when the need comes, to mail you something

Hey, the day we got a decision and the COPR in the mail the address changed to Vancouver. So yes, hopefully it will be the COPR!

Eeeeeee

Thanks for the input, both of you! I know it's coming 'soon' (their word) since they told me so in an email, and I already know it will be a positive decision, but I was kind of expecting their concept of 'soon' to be a little lengthier than mine, so I'm thrilled to see things moving so quickly now.
