Even if it's actually getting accepted, they can't reject you instantly at that stage, as others are still fine to continue and have more than one participation (i.e. those with multiple nationalities). Hence why it allows you to carry on, as answering yes to that question won't make everybody ineligible.

For example it says: 2009 September - 2012 June - College
2012 September - 2015 June - University
Is it better to close the gaps and have it run from September to September and skip the school holiday gaps? I was over 18 at this point.

I have been accepted into the pool for UK working holiday IEC
I turn 30 in February, does this mean i would need to receive an invite to apply before I turn 30 in February?

Me again. Well the most horrific thing has happened. I submitted all my documents, signed the application, and it said I have 2 hours to pay the fees. So I went back to the home page to check all my documents were submitted correctly and my application has entirely disappeared. I have no way of reaccessing it to pay for the fees and submit. Anyone know what I can do?

Hello,
I have a caution for common assault dating back to 2010. I am going to submit the subject access report. Is that sufficient in terms of a police record? Also, I see that there's a procedure to overcome criminal inadmissibility through proving rehabilitation. Do you know at what stage I should initiate that?
Thanks!

Yep I will have either the ACPO cert or the confirmation that I have requested it and it is on its way. In addition I have another police record from the country where I reside so hopefully no problems there.
However, are you sure I'm deemed rehabilitated? Doesn't that happen only after 10 years?!

On an unrelated note - does anybody have the numbers on how many people get a POE letter after submitting the docs? What's the probability?

Hello everybody,
I have this morning received my invitation.
My question is in relation to my passport. It expires in Feb 2021 and I would like to try and get as long a visa as possible(2 years) which based on this passport isn't possible(gonna estimate that I won't be arriving in Canada for at least 2-4 months with the length of the application process).
The application process as I understand is just to apply for a POE letter and they actually issue the visa upon arrival? Would this mean that I don't need to rush to get a new longer dated passport during this application process as long as I have the new one by the time I arrive in Canada?

Hi All
My application for the IEC was approved in June 2018 and I have received my POE stating that I need to enter the country by June 2019 to activate the Visa. The biometrics rules were introduced in July 2018 which was after I received my POE and I have not received a further request to provide the biometrics. I am now slightly concerned that with all information suggesting that you cannot enter the country without the biometrics, I will turn up at the Canadian border to activate my Visa and be turned away as I have not met this requirement.
So my question is, as I received my POE before they changed the rules does this negate me from needing to provide biometrics before I arrive and can I just do this when I arrive in Canada? Or should I have received a letter asking me to provide them? I am well aware that you cannot provide biometrics without a letter specifically requesting them and my IEC account still says that I do not need to provide them, but I have never provided them before.
This is my first post on the forum and I have searched for the answer to this question everywhere and come up with nothing other than assumptions of my own so any help with this would be appreciated.

These may be of help

What if I have a Canadian visa that has not yet expired when you start taking biometrics from citizens of my country or territory?
Also mentions Europe in the answer: I am from Asia, Asia Pacific or the Americas and have applied for a visa, work or study permit, or for permanent residence before December 31, 2018, but my application is still being processed. Do I have to give my biometrics?
If you are concerned about biometrics (see the last 2 links) you could always send a case specific enquiry through MyCIC or the webform.. but they would tell you if you need to get them done.
