STC - glad things are moving along for you, I'm a bit confused what stage you're at though, you say you handed in passports then mention about passport requests next?

So assuming you haven't been a naughty boy and been in trouble with the police and that your meds are okay then passport requests should be next, no ideas how long they're taking at the moment though?

Mine only took a couple of weeks (I think i was lucky), others have taken a couple of months.

At least you know now there's light at the end of the tunnel!

Anyone else waiting from Jan / Feb?

4 months, holy sh1t, that's a long wait, fingers crossed it'll be a bit quicker.

That said it's a done deal now so at least you don't have the fear of rejection, that was certainly the biggest worry for me!

Now I'm panicking about finding work!

Keep us updated.

Cheers.

Ya it is long but my bro is getting married in October so Ill be here til then anyway..

I hope that I do get it by then tho.. I dont see myself getting out there for another month after I get the confirmation...

Are you back in the UK? What work are you looking for?

What happens if you can't find work in your field and find something else?.. are they bothered about that or does it not matter?...

Good luck!

Yep, back in the UK to tie up the loose ends... We're lucky enough to have enough equity to purchase a nice house, cars etc for cash, within a few months though we'll need to find work.

My partner was the principle applicant and applied under the NOC for 'Financial Manager' but she's more recently moved to a 'Marketing Manager', she's confident she'll find work in one or the other.

I work for an IT company (although I don't specialize in any particular IT field), so would be happy to try something new.

Cheers.
