It`s a definite Yes! I know at least 4 people on business visas!
My friend who is a Chiropractor actually finds it easier to leave the country than to register as Panjim make it so difficult for those on B visas to register!

But I agree that it could sometimes be easier to leave and re-enter India, than to meet the requirements of the F.R.O.!

Not all business visas have the 180 day limit. I have applied for, and received 12 month Business Visas for the past 6 years without any 180 day stipulations.......Maybe its just the luck of the draw, I dont know?

A couple of friends of ours, both with business visas without 180 days, go out of the country rather than attempt to gather together the 32 documents (yes! literally) required by the FRO to register. Just not worth the hassle. We have never bothered to apply for a business visa without the restriction for the same reason.

Can anyone please help?
I've completed the online visa forms for my parents but when I've printed them out there are a few errors on them. I can't seem to get back on to make the amendments. It will only allow me to print????

The las time I applied there were a couple of things that I knew I'd keyed in to the electronic form that then weren't transposed on to the printed hard copy, I made the necessary amendments in black biro, this was never questioned when I submitted my application & I got the visas - with the often un-communicated rule changes, heaven only knows if this kind of amendment is still acceptable!
Good luck.

I presume you take both forms with you and they will cancel the unsigned one.

If you go to the VFSGlobal site 'home'; on the right hand side are quick links. Click on FAQ and scroll down to 'Can I Edit my Form'. The answer seems to be 'No' . It tells you to redo and reprint the form if there are errors.

It used to be that if you started 1 application, it would not let you start another - infact when VFS 1st got involved, they didn't cancel applications & when people tried to apply for their visas the following season, it wouldn't allow the new application as the one from the previous season was still there & people had to repeatedly email VFS before they would delete the application for the previous seasons by then expired visa.

The errors are:
I've not put where they will be staying in India - but I'm thinking this may not be a mandatory as they recommend you don't book until you've obtained a visa.
I've not put port of exit (Manchester) and the date of departure is 25th June and I've put 26th June on the other.
I think I will re-do and explain at Birmingham in person on Thursday.

I imagine you would not risk posting the new application but would go in person to explain.
And all because this bunch of idiots can't put a simple web site together properly...........
and no, I don't wish to enter into a debate/arguement/boxing match about this, thank you.

My alternative was saying "naff all" when feeling tempted to respond to a post & realisin before typing, "NO" - leave it, it's just totally pointless & really not worth the bother.
You are loved and missed.................
