Oh great piles of steaming ordure!
This is really bad news.
So much for BHCI helping us - I had favoured the next meeting being in March but there is now a strong case for February - or at least some public comment from them.

P.S. 12 month visas are still mentioned on the visa fees page, but offering 3 month visas to property owners is a real p#$$er!

Have to assume by your profile name .......VSUKLTD, that you are some sort of business?
If so, your information is pointless, and a waste of everybody's time on this particular forum, thank you.

It seems likely you are in the visa agency business - in which case you are surely also aware that PIO's are no longer elligible for T visas.

[QUOTE=a_f_d;9227329]
He is right, without the specific required documents PIOs get a T visa. Discovered this last August when went to renew my 5yr X (as a spouse) husband does not have old passport or birth cert. I was given a year T visa and told that he would get the same when he renewed (not due for 2 years).
We now have the requisite affidavit, which includes my name, so I will see what happens next August.

Can anyone tell me if they know of anyone in the UK who has recently been issued with a 12 month Tourist Visa?
I could have sworn a couple of weeks back the VFS site was indicating on their visa price list that 12 month visas were no longer being issued. Today it has a price for up to 12 months again (not exceeding 180 days).

This is probably due to two different durations mentioned in two different places on the VFS website. It got batted around at length from post #650 to about #665 on this very thread.
People have reported getting 12 month visas on IndiaMike during the past week.

I've been reading on this site and Indiamike about people's experiences regarding the 2 month out and 180 rule. Various people saying different immigration officers are telling them different things, or have different interpretation of the rulings surrounding visas. I have to say, whether it says 2 month out rule or not, or 'must not exceed 180 days' I wouldn't be taking a single chance. Just because the 2 month rule has not been printed on a current visa, I wouldn't assume I could re-enter before this period is up.
