The Princess will never be gone entirely! The current contract is just for below waterline removal - meaning that the visible part of the ship will go, but the bit that's stuck under the sand - that will remain still causing the ecological problems it has been causing to date! (beach erosion etc)

What a cop-out govt of Goa! My friends in Sinquerim have lost 25% of their land due to this incompetance, their house is almost falling into the sea! Do you care?

Thought not! As long as the problem Princess is out of sight it's out of mind in YOUR opinion! But the hull will always be a ghost under the sand for you. Remove it entirely!

Julia, are you sure about this? All the newspaper reports have referred to complete removal of the ship and have described the procedure for the lower part, involving pumping the sand out and divers using under-water cutting torches to finish the job.

Of course, whether this will happen is another mastter, but could affect Arihants final payment.......

What Julia says has been mooted around quite a bit - it possibly is correct if Goa is anything to go by! Disgusting if true

not to mention that it would actually be less safer than it is now when you can see the wreck - for boats / adventure sport.

It would appear that plans are in place to remove the entire ship, above and below the waterline, i.e. in its entirety.
