Re: River Princess
When they remove the boat its going to be interesting to see what happens to the beach. Will it return to normal in Sinquerin or will there be a ecological disaster and more of the shore line disappearing ? What ever happens there is an enormous amount of sand trapped around the ship and its got to go some where. There is a bloody huge cutting barge moored opposite The Caravela Casino boat in The Mandovi. You can see it when you cross the bridge.Has any noticed that Baga Creek is completely silted up.My landlord says its from the mini Cyclone they had in November. It shifted loads of sand up the creek filling in all the holes on the bed.You can walk across now at low tide without getting your knees wet near Cafe Liela .

I for one would miss this (boat, ship, wreck) it is now the only reason to visit the sea.Yes it will be interesting as to what happens to the coastline? But (if) it disappeared what would we write about? What would the GOA government discuss..... How many more high rise hotels to be built? how many more taxi licenses to be issued, the infrastructure for Japanese tourists.how to play Russian roulette, how to repay the British and Portuguese for turning this place into a SxxT HxxE .Of course not let us stick with the Princess& The Mikky mouse conundrum...........Time for 1 more Vodka & Coke.

Sooty are you okay? Sweep has been looking for you everywhere.
She thinks you have had to many Dr V Js tonic?
Hoping you are someone with an acerbic sense of humour like moi.
Serious ...The Princess was deliberately grounded in GOA as insurance payout is 3 times what it would have been in any other state!

3- L'OEUF (Froggie for egg, symbolic of a zero, origin of tennis term "love")
A Scot playing tennis? They think they are the butchest race on earth, and expect to succeed dancing around on a tennis court...........hardly!
Hate to have to break this to you, but Sweep was a bloke! (if you remember, he never spoke a word, just nodded...........dead give-away) Sooty's "partner", to use that nauseating politically correct expression, was Sue/ Soo, a bl**dy panda.
So all those years ago, British children were being subtly indoctrinated in the benefits of mixed marriages! With present BBC principles, she would have got the boot and he and Sweep would have attended a fertility clinic in L.A, in order to produce a finger-puppet callet Zachary............
No, I had my sense of humour surgically removed at Vrundavan Hospital in Mapusa, Goa..........of course they got it wrong, and left me permanently scared (sic). Still at least I survived, unlike so many others?
Goes without saying, ALMOST everything in Zimbabwe-on-Sea is fuelled by corruption, from putting price stickers over MRP right up to the Government Ministers, most of whom have criminal cases against them.
Paradise, innit?

Re: River Princess
The cranes were loading which looked like cylinders used for cutting. There were quite a lot of them and men were moving them all around the ship. So it looks like a lot of preperation work is now being done before they actually dismantle.
